We invite you to join us on Saturday, May 15th at 4343 Leimert Boulevard (People’s Street) in front of the Vision Theater, as we engage volunteers to collect signatures from property and business owners in support of “Co-Naming” a 5-mile segment of Crenshaw Boulevard as Malcolm X Boulevard. Come out and walk with us! It’s going to be a great time!
The signature-gathering campaign will begin at 10 am, with a press conference scheduled at 11 am, with an amazing line-up of guest speakers throughout the afternoon, and an exciting concert featuring Torrè Brannon-Reese and the “Everything with Soul” band beginning at 4 pm.

“We are not aiming to rename the street. Just like was done in Harlem, we are adding the name Malcolm X to it. This honors one of our greatest heroes, acknowledges the deep cultural significance of the area, now being rebranded as Destination Crenshaw, while fully embracing the iconic symbol Crenshaw Boulevard has become.”
