Save the date! The 18th annual Malcolm X Festival hosted by FA-MLI is just around the corner, and it promises to be a day filled with art, music, and culture. The festival will take place on Saturday, May 20th, 2023, starting with a press conference at 9 am.

The Malcolm X Festival exhibit will be set up at the People Street in the festival area featuring large scale images of past activities, news stories, posters, and flyers.
The festival officially begins at noon with a traditional African libation, meditation, and prayer session. The event will continue with a musical performance by various artists, including See a Man Be a Man students, King the Cure, Torre and Everything with Soul, and a fashion segment by Everyday People.
In addition to musical acts, there will be several speakers, including FAMLI Press, who will speak about the festival site.
From 11 am to 1 pm, The State of the Race Forum will also take place at the Barbara Morrison Theater, with the theme “Reconstruction 2023: A Case for Human Rights,” in honor of Malcolm X.
With a diverse range of performances and events, the 18th annual Malcolm X Festival promises to be an incredible opportunity to engage with the community, celebrate African-American culture, and honor the legacy of one of the greatest civil rights leaders of our time.
FA-MLI, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1992 that is dedicated to creating educational opportunities through a variety of programs and events. In addition to the Malcolm X Legacy Project, FA-MLI produces educational conferences, film festivals and screenings, a cultural/arts/educational tour to New Orleans, a Classic Photo Gathering project, weekly film and discussion series, and musical concerts, among others.
