Street Corner Renaissance continues their California mini-tour with a featured performance at the beloved San Pedro Music Festival, taking the stage at the popular Crafted Courtyard on Saturday, May 16th, 2026.
Taking the Mission Beyond Leimert Park
FA-MLI has always believed that Black culture belongs everywhere — not just in the spaces already dedicated to it. Street Corner Renaissance, co-founded by Torrénce Brannon-Reese and Maurice Kitchen, has built its reputation performing in the heart of South Los Angeles. The San Pedro Music Festival appearance represents that same cultural presence expanding its footprint along the California coast.

Building Momentum
This performance follows the group’s May 1st appearance at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood alongside Chicago songstress Windy Barnes. Two high-profile festival dates in a single month signal a significant moment for Street Corner Renaissance — and for FA-MLI’s growing presence on the regional performance circuit.
For Torrénce Brannon-Reese, each stage is an extension of the same work happening in the classrooms and community spaces of South LA — using music as a vehicle for cultural preservation, healing, and connection.
