Brief info

aka Torrè is an all-around artist/Renaissance man – a singer, poet, writer, guitarist, educator, community advocate, father, grandfather, writer, event coordinator, and accomplished leader in a multiplicity of fields.
In 1992, he founded FAMLI, Inc., the Foundation for Arts, Mentoring, Leadership and Innovation, and incorporated in 1993 as a 501 © (3) nonprofit agency. In 1993 Mr. Brannon-Reese launched the Los Angeles Malcolm X Festival, which ran concurrent with the annual Strategies Conference, for African American males, which he co-chaired, for 15 years until 2007.
As a musical artist, Mr. Brannon-Reese co-founded and sings lead and background with the Street Corner Renaissance, an international travelled and known a capella doo-wop vocal quintet, featured in 2015 on the hit NBC TV show The Sing Off. His backing New Orleans-style band, Everything with Soul, preserves and promotes the music of New Orleans and classic soul music.

Mr. Brannon-Reese’s signature event the I’ve Known Rivers FILM FESTIVAL of Arts, Culture, and Education is in its 7th year. His book, entitled See A Man, Be A Man, Transforming the Lives of Young Men of Color, is due for completion in 2019.
