30th Anniversary Cultural Renaissance Classic Photo Gathering

FA-MLI marked the 30th year of one of its most enduring traditions, the Cultural Renaissance Classic Photo Gathering, on People Street in front of the Vision Theatre, earlier on the same day as the 34th Annual Malcolm X Legacy Celebration & Cultural Festival.
Torrénce Brannon-Reese launched the gathering on May 18, 1996 at the World Stage Performance Gallery in Leimert Park, inspired by jazz singing legend Dwight Trible, to honor and document the community’s artists.
