The 12th Annual I’ve Known Rivers Film Festival ran December 3–9, 2023. Its Opening Night Gala at the Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum in Topanga Canyon screened City of A Million Dreams: Parading For The Dead In New Orleans, Jason Berry’s documentary on the city’s jazz funeral tradition, followed by an interview with Berry and jazz musician Dr. Michael White and a live performance by Everything with Soul.
